about me
[m.m. botelho] || marta madalena botelho
32. portuguese. lawyer. aries. ascendent on sagittarius.
I like the smell of books, which I underline with a ruler and cover with notes. If I was an object, I would be a pencil, but as I am unable to choose a color, I would choose graphite.
I like to paint with China ink and I like antique artephacts, such as pens and glasses. I am specially fond of old things, even if they do not work, like radios that do not play or coins out of circulation and full of mold.
I like the wind to ruffle my curls and I love hugs and the smell of skin in the late days of summer, but I think the best feeling in the world is slipping into a bed freshly washed.
I am fascinated by b&w photos with people: unknown people walking, hugging or distant pairs, children playing in large puddles.
Absurdly methodical, I know where I keep everything from the petty to the valuable. I abhor that others change and touch my things.
I read six or seven books simultaneously, all on different subjects, piling a little everywhere. I have an excelent memory and I like to explore everything in detail until it is well explained and well understood.
I am not able to sew a button or cook rice with duck, but I love white teeth and slender and delicate hands, which I think is far more interesting. I appreciate good manners and red wine.
I have half a dozen of white hairs, but I am aware that there will come the day when I will have more. I like to play with words and say more than what it said, underneath the letters, over the meanings and, sometimes, between the scores.
